Homage to Petrucci - Jimmy Kachulis

A re-composition of a unique instrumental piece that began as a secular 15th century three voice composition, to which Caron added a fourth voice, in the 1508 Odhecaton of Petrucci, the first publisher of music. This version recomposes those originals while creating low brass parts in Balkan folk rhythms of 5/8, 6/8, and 7/8 – under the prevailing 2/4 rhythm of the original.
